Flow – Slowly Emerging Logics, 2025

Flow consists of music and visual poetry. Composed in 2023 using an Elektron Syntakt synthesizer, its fourteen instrumental tracks (53 minutes) go together with a book that combines poetry and original etchings, creating a space that exists tangibly only for those who hold the book’s limited printed edition.

Flow explores aspects of spiritual identity and the complexities of realizing that life might be infinite—and one’s own existence merely a local expression of something infinitely vast. From surprise to fear and awe (maybe we can never understand something that’s so vast), a recurring theme emerges: gratitude.
What did we do to deserve so much?

Flow was released in 2025, and exists as

Something emerges out of nothing:
where there was no thing there now is love.

What does it mean to enter something new?
What does it mean to get to know someone?

How do lives connect?
What form does the intertwined, infinite emotional body have?
Are we all one body, one energy?

Does anything really emerge out of nothing?
Was there ever silence?

How often did we already meet,
experiencing our very first connection?
How often did we discuss all this already?

Following the release of Cradle in Q4/2024, I began working on the book to accompany Flow.

Having written the tracks for it in the summer of 2023, I now revisited the music to transform its identity into verbal and visual domains. As with Cradle, I wanted the music’s physical identity to take the form of a 20×20cm book, featuring narrative poetry and a cohesive visual style.

The Digital Book

Flow can be bought via Bandcamp. This also includes the digital version of the 76-page book (PDF), with etchings and poetry for each track — creating a narrative arc through the album.

Thanks to Agnes Frohmann for graphic design support (I ignored all your generous advice. I’m sorry!).

The Physical Book

Flow, just like Cradle, exists physically only in its limited-edition book form: color print, 20x20cm, 76 pages, perfect bound. There is no cassette, CD or vinyl for this project.

The limited edition is set to  50 copies, and can be purchased for €30 (excl. shipping). Whoever buys it automatically gets the Bandcamp download (and thus also owns the digital data of the album).

You can buy the physical book via this link.

The Flow Etchings

The Flow universe also includes a series of etchings made back in 2013, in an exclusively for the album. You can see the entire series here

All etchings were printed by Patrick Wagner (Black Heart Press), who invited me to Finland in 2013, to create them through collaborative printmaking. They wouldn’t exist without his initiative and passion.
